Thursday, January 24, 2019 18 Shevat 5779

12:00 PM - 1:00 PMChicago Loop Synagogue, 16 S. Clark

Seventy years after the establishment of the State of Israel, support for Israel is a core component of the worldview of many religious Jews as is part and parcel of the way that we understand Judaism itself. And yet, Zionism, as an ideology has been, and remains, controversial among Jewish communities with a competing allegiance to the primacy of Torah and Mitzvot.

This class will explore the history of Religious Zionism and some of its potentials for the future.

All classes will take place at Chicago Loop Synagogue, 16 S. Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60603.
