A Musical Journey From East to West with the Israeli Consulate and StandWithUs

1:00 PM - 2:00 PMThe Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest and StandWithUs invite you to join us in a special journey of music, history and culture on Monday, November 30 at 1 PM. (CST).
Internationally acclaimed and renowned Israeli conductor Tom Cohen, Musical Director of the “Jerusalem East and West” Orchestra will blend Arabic sounds and rhythms from North Africa and the Middle East, with the vibrant Israeli music and the traditional Western classical music. Cohen will lead us through his personal story, with roots from Poland and Iraq, and how that impacted his unique style of music.
This event marks Israel's Annual Memorial Day of the departure and expulsion of Jews from Arab Countries and Iran.
