Krav Maga is the Israeli art of self-defense, and in today’s environment knowing some basic skills could be very helpful. Besides being a good workout, krav maga is an intelligent way of learning how to defend yourself in both ground and standing confrontations. The class will be tailored to the skills and interest levels of participants, and we will learn basic principles in an environment that prioritizes student safety.
Leslie teaches universal advice, strategies, and techniques that can defuse situations and potentially save lives. Over the years, she has developed a curriculum that encompasses a complete array of useful tools; and because the Krav Maga system is well-integrated, common defensive principles apply to various attack scenarios. Thus, the basic system can be learned in a relatively short period of time. Leslie's motivation is her dedication to empowering people of all communities and backgrounds to be able to walk in peace.
Leslie was certified full Israeli Krav Maga Association (IKMA) Gidon Fighting System instructor in 2012 under US Chief Instructor & 3rd Degree Black Belt Israeli Krav Maga David Khan. She has trained with Israeli Masters such as Master Yigal Arbiv and taken many seminars worldwide to hone her skills. She certified for the women-empowered pink belt at the Gracie Academy in Torrance, California, with Rener and Ryron Gracie, but emphasizes that her course is designed to be useful for both women and men.
Cost is $36 for each class.
