Join Rabbi Yair Lichtman, a YU Torah Mitzion Kollel Fellow, for an educational and interesting discussion about what we can learn from Jewish texts about cancer and how it is treated. This event will begin after Shacharit and breakfast will be served. This program is brought to you by Chicago Loop Synagogue, Sharsheret and YU Torah Mitzion Kollel of Chicago.

Rabbi Yair Lichtman is a Rabbinic Fellow at the Yeshiva University Torah Mitzion Kollel of Chicago. He has previously studied at Yeshiva University, where he pursued graduate studies in Jewish Education, Biblical Studies, and Mental Health Counseling in addition to his rabbinic ordination. He has taught a wide range of Jewish Studies topics to students of all ages, and shared Torah in schools, synagogues, summer camps, and college campuses. He completed his BA in Mathematics and Jewish Studies and is an alumnus of rabbinic student fellowships at the 92nd Street Y, AIPAC, the Shalom Hartman Institute, and the UJA Federation of New York. Rabbi Lichtman aspires to a career which bridges community leadership with Jewish education. He hopes to employ contemporary methodologies in the study and pedagogy of ancient texts, and plans to bring timeless wisdom to bear on timely challenges. Rabbi Lichtman currently lives in Skokie with his wife Sara.
