State Senator Sara Feigenholtz represents the 6th Senate district. She is a founding board member and Vice President of the Kennedy Forum, a diverse partnership of civic, business, and community leaders committed to ending the stigma surrounding mental health.
She is an Emeritus State Director of Women in Government, President of the NCSL Women’s Legislative Network, a Bowhay Fellow, Council of State Governments, and a board member of the National Association of Jewish Legislators.
Sara earned her BA in Political Science and Speech and Performing Arts from Northeastern Illinois University. She received a fellowship at the University of Illinois Public Health Leadership Institute. In 2011, completed the Harvard Kennedy School of Government Senior Executives program.
