Tracing the themes of land and food as sources of privilege and power in the stories of Cain and Abel, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. What do these narratives have to teach us about our own spiritual lives and our attitude to people denied these resources today?
Aharon Frazer studied at Yeshivat Har Etzion (rabbinic ordination), Yeshiva University (BA computer science) and Ben Gurion University (MPH). He served with his wife Adena as the JLIC Educator at Brandeis University from 2003-2007.
Dr. Frazer has worked at several Israeli tech companies, and today he works at Facebook, Tel Aviv, where he manages the Product Data Science team and co-leads diversity and inclusion efforts for the company in Israel. He has written online about his experiences growing up as an Orthodox Jew from a multiracial background. He lives in Alon Shvut with his wife and 5 children.
