JCRC Virtual Tour of Israel's Border with Gaza
Wednesday, April 28, 2021 • 16 Iyyar 5781
12:00 PM - 1:00 PMJoin JCRC Chicago for a strategic guided tour of Israel's Gaza border with IDF Col. Miri Eisen (Ret.); and meet Hila Fenlon, a farmer from the moshav Netiv HaAsara, to learn how she's fought back against Hamas' attempts to destroy her farm.
In 1982, 70 families from the Israeli village Netiv HaAsara in the Sinai Peninsula left their homes as part of the peace deal reached between Israel and Egypt. They founded a new moshav by the same name outside of Gaza's northern border land that has been considered part of the modern State of Israel since its declaration in 1948.
Since taking control of Gaza in 2007, Hamas and other Palestinian terrorist organizations have subjected the citizens of Netiv HaAsara to a terror onslaught, including thousands of missile and rockets, armed incursions and incendiary devices floated over the border.
