THE AMERICAN ISRAEL PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

CORDIALLY INVITES YOU TO AN

AIPAC BRIEFING AND Q&A

Featuring

LAUREN WALDSTEIN

AIPAC Chicago Area Director

Wednesday, January 23, 2019
12:00 PM Community Program

Cooperation between the United States and Israel is advantageous for both nations. As America's bipartisan pro-Israel lobby, AIPAC urges all members of Congress to support Israel through foreign aid, government partnerships, joint anti-terrorism efforts and the promotion of a negotiated two-state solution-a Jewish state of Israel and a demilitarized Palestinian state.

Hear how AIPAC is keeping America and Israel secure, how it is educating the nation about the dangers of Iran and its nuclear ambitions and works to achieve peace between Israel and its neighbors. Ms. Waldstein will also discuss how AIPAC works with Congress to protect Israeli Citizens From Terrorist's Missiles, ensure Israel's Right to Self-Defense and works to advance U.S.-Israel homeland security cooperation.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Lauren Waldstein is the AIPAC Chicago Area Director. In this capacity, Lauren oversees AIPAC's third largest community. Lauren is originally from Chicago's North Shore suburbs and first encountered AIPAC as a student at the University of Illinois, where she became active with IlliniPAC. After graduating, Lauren worked for Friends of the IDF in Chicago. She went on to join AIPAC in the national office in Washington, D.C., as the Internal Marketing Manager for the team that is chiefly responsible for planning the annual Policy Conference. Lauren has been with AIPAC for six years, and part of the Chicago team for three years, working closely with the local community of AIPAC supporters.
